Last week was very eventful for our Placer students! The Gold Country Fairgrounds reached out to NCCT to help remodel the new Daycare location at the fairgrounds. So of course our students were psyched and ready for some hands on training experience!
They learned about:
-Drywall finish
-Understanding different types of textures
-Painting
-Installing Cabinets
-Plumbing (switching out pre traps)
-Electrical (Switching our light fixtures)
-Finish carpentry (Installing Baseboards)
-Installing the new vinyl plank floating floor system
-Striping concrete forms
-Clean up
Next week our students will be completing their OSHA 10 certification courses! Then we are starting a garden project at the Juvenile Hall, as we get the students dialed in for employment. -Instructor Allyn Green
