We are officially entering our 2nd year of programming with Visions in Education. Last year we collaborated in a pilot partnership program to introduce a Construction Course into the CTE Pathway. This year, in June, we officially rolled out our brand new program with Faith Home Teen/Adult Challenge down in Ceres, CA. We brought in an absolutely phenomenal new instructor Serge Ivanyuk and he has been making spectacular progress with the students in this program. Check out these photos!     

Our placer program started a project at Lincoln high school at the hub, which is a food closet that provides adult services for less fortunate folks. This project started last week with our students helping to fix 60 ft.² of dry rot repair as well as installing T11 siding. This project will be often on over the course of the next couple months. This week NCCT students toured the high rise Turner Construction project today at 750 N street downtown. An introduction panel of subcontractors and business agents from the Laborers, Carpenters, electricians and Sheetmetal reps shared their stories on how they got into the trades and climbed the corporate ladder. They covered how living and breathing what you do on the job, and always trying to be for safer and more efficient naturally builds that leader every superintendent needs on their jobs.
