Congratulations to Shane Addleman, a River City High School Graduate from our WUSD Class, who was awarded the 1st ever JLC Martinez Concrete Inc. Bison Scholarship!! This is a $1000 annual award presented to young professionals that have exhibited a strong work ethic and an interest in the building and construction trades.
NCCT Instructor Jason Billington had some great things to share about Addleman-
“Shane was in my class for 2 years. Learning that Shane was also on the volleyball team and was a karate instructor, I felt he would be a great leader and show exemplary teamwork skills. When Shane was my safety manager last year – we won people choice awards. When Shane was my Project Manager this year – we won people choice awards. He has earned his OSHA 10 – Heat Illness – CPR First AID certifications while in my class and is absolutely a true leader! I placed Shane with a local contractor DW Contracting, working on kitchen and bathroom remodels. He already works 40 hours a week doing construction @ $20 hour and looks forward to joining the carpenters union in the future!”
