Turner Construction Tour

This week NCCT students toured the high rise Turner Construction project today at 750 N street downtown. An introduction panel of subcontractors and business agents from the Laborers, Carpenters, electricians and Sheetmetal reps shared their stories on how they got into the trades and climbed the corporate ladder. They covered how living and breathing what you do on the job, and always trying to be for safer and more efficient naturally builds that leader every superintendent needs on their jobs. After that they opened up the floor for questions and answers. Many of our students showed up with their resumes and certifications and are in the process of applying with the various trades!

Senior recruiter Elizabeth Lewis from Union Pacific Railroad also came out to meet with and speak to NCCT Students this week.

The Certification Classes are POPPIN OFF! OSHA 10, flagging, confined space, traffic control, CPR/AED, heat illness & injury prevention and OSHA 40 certifications help our students become even more employable. A career in the trades changes lives!
